Price

The consideration consists of an admission fee (payable on first joining) and an annual membership fee. The amounts differ according to membership category (General Membership or Professional Membership) and are provided individually in the membership information materials. For those joining part-way through a year, the first-year fee is calculated according to the number of months from the month of admission to December of that year, subject to a cap of the annual fee. All amounts include Japanese consumption tax.

Costs in addition to fees

Bank transfer charges, where payment is made by bank transfer, and any communication charges required to browse this website are borne by the customer.

Payment methods

Payment may be made by bank transfer or by credit card, through the payment page indicated by the Association.

Timing of payment

For the first year of membership, payment is due by the date designated by the Association following notice that admission has been approved. From the second year onwards, the annual fee for the following year is due by the date designated by the Association; notice of renewal and of the fee is sent in December of the preceding year.

Timing of service provision

Following approval of admission and confirmation of receipt of the admission fee and first-year membership fee, a member ID is issued and access to member services begins.

Cancellation and refunds

Given the nature of the services, admission fees and annual membership fees already paid are not refundable. However, if there is a period during which the Association is unable to provide member benefits for reasons attributable to the Association, the Association will refund an amount corresponding to that period. Members who withdraw part-way through a membership year may continue to use member benefits until the last day of that membership year.
